    CHPG Primary Care Lyons aims to provide you with individualized care that focuses on the body as a whole, not just the illness or symptoms. Our holistic approach intends to provide information on disease prevention for you in addition to diagnosing and treating any illness you may experience.

    Our board-certified providers deliver care for individuals of all ages with emphasis on preventive care, natural remedies, judicious use of medications, patient education and counseling. We are proud to have earned the highest level of NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition for using evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly coordinated care. This achievement reflects our dedication to providing patient-centered care to our patients.

  • Matthew Brett, MDBoard-certified, Dr. Matthew Brett received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Colorado. He went on to New York Medical College, in Valhalla, New York and earned his medical degree. Dr. Brett completed his family medicine residency at the University of Wyoming.

    Dr. Brett believes in partnering with his patients to provide collaborative medical care. He focuses on prevention and strengthening the ability of each patient to self-heal.

    Outside of the office, Dr. Brett enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, mountain biking, camping, and golfing.

    Vickie Shelquist, NPVickie Shelquist is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than two decades experience of direct patient care. Vickie received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. She went on to earn a Master of Science in nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner emphasis from Regis University in Denver.

    Vickie cares for individuals of all ages with emphasis on preventive care, natural remedies, judicious use of medications, patient education and counseling.  Vickie is respectful of different health care beliefs and strives to teach each of her patients how to become and stay healthy. She creates treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.

    In her free time, Vickie enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking, writing and photography.
