    Physicians & Providers:

  • Dr. Bruce Martin Dr. Bruce Martin has proudly provided comprehensive care to his patients for the past 32 years. Prior to joining Centura, he worked in both solo private practice and multi-specialty physician groups in Grand Haven, Michigan. Dr. Martin is an active medical leader and has served on multiple hospital and health system committees, including serving as the Chief of the Family Medicine Department for the North Ottawa Community Hospital since 1992.

A graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, Dr. Martin completed his family practice residency at the Anderson Memorial Hospital in South Carolina. Dr. Martin is board-certified in family medicine and has been trained to provide care for a full spectrum of patients from newborns to the elderly. His particular clinical interests include: infant and early childhood development, maintenance of wellness through preventive health measures and prenatal care, although no longer delivering babies.

When treating patients, Dr. Martin believes that health care is a partnership between the patient and the provider to best identify the personal goals to achieving optimal wellness and finding the best sources of information or treatment to help maintain that wellness. He also believes that even though not all illnesses or conditions can be cured in our current state of knowledge he is hopeful that each patient can achieve the healing of establishing his or her own integrated and optimal physical and spiritual wellness on their life journey.

Married with five grown children, and two young grandchildren, Dr. Martin spends his free time enjoying his entire family, kayaking, biking, and backpacking along with playing softball and running.
