At CHPG Primary Care - Thornton, we encourage our patients to make healthy lifestyle choices and take preventive care measures that are important to achieving and maintaining optimal wellness for the entire family. A Texas native, Dr. Lukas McWhorter received a bachelor of
science degree from Texas Tech University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with
honors. Dr. McWhorter received his medical degree from Texas Tech University
School of Medicine and then stayed to complete his residency in family
medicine. He served as Chief Resident
his final year. His clinical interests
include outpatient medicine including urgent care, in-office procedures, and
chronic disease management.
Dr. McWhorter believes it is important to “treat all
patients as if they were my own family. I believe in educating patients about
what is occurring so they can take ownership of their care.”
When not seeing patients, Dr. McWhorter enjoys being
outdoors, spending time backpacking, camping, skiing, and fishing. He also
enjoys spending time with family and watching movies.
Brianne Hogue, FNP-C is a Certified Family Nurse
Practitioner. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the
Denver School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the
University of Colorado in Denver. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing
from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Illinois. Originally from
Montana, Brianne now enjoys living in Colorado with her husband and two

thinking abilities to achieve the best patient outcomes. She enjoys partnering
with her patients and believes in delivering care with compassion and spirit.
Her overall goal is to improve the health of the community where she lives and

medicine and has a special interest in preventive care, focusing holistically
on her patients, not just treating their symptoms
When she is not seeing patients, Brianne can be found with
her family and friends doing outdoor activities, attending sporting events and
concerts, and traveling.
