  • Welcome to Avista Internal Medicine

    Avista Internal Medicine provides primary care and internal medicine services to men and women age 14 and older. Our practice also welcomes seniors and we do accept Medicare.

    We understand the importance of preventative care and encourage healthy lifestyle choices that help our patients prevent or manage disease. We specialize in diagnosing and treating adult diseases including cardiovascular diseases, endocrinology and rheumatology.

    Our internal medicine specialists are all Board Certified in internal medicine and are also primary care physicians. Whether you are in need of a general check-up or have a more complex disease or condition, you can feel confident that we can provide the individual care you need, and often can complete lab work and other diagnostic testing right in our office.

  • Dr. John HoDr. John Ho is a primary care physician who is specially trained to diagnose and treat adult diseases. He uses the latest in evidence-based medicine to help patients promote health and prevent disease, and provides primary care for both men and women.

    Dr. Ho is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has special interests in cardiovascular diseases, endocrinology and rheumatology. He received is medical degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, where he was a Missouri Curators Scholar and was awarded a Merck Award for Excellence in Medical Education. He then went on to complete his internship and residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center Lackland AFB in San Antonio.

    Dr. Ho has been practicing internal medicine since 1994. After serving at the US Air Force Academy Hospital and prior to moving to Boulder County, he practiced with Colorado Springs Health Partners for 11 years.

    He enjoys an active Colorado lifestyle with his wife and two daughters.

    Dr. Babak MoiniDr. Babak Moini is board-certified in internal medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California in Davis and holds a masters degree in physiology from Georgetown University. He earned his medical degree in Richmond at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his internal medicine residency in Cleveland at University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

    When it comes to treating his patients, Dr. Moini’s focus is on preventive medicine. When managing his patients’ chronic medical conditions, he always puts their needs first. Dr. Moini works with his patients to create customized care plans, utilizing evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic decision making and incorporating lifestyle changes with medical therapy.

    Dr. Moini enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, but has a special interest in cardiovascular diseases and endocrine diseases. He is also passionate about global health. Dr. Moini is fluent in English and Farsi.

    When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Moini enjoys skiing, competing in triathlons, hiking, cooking and spending time with his wife, son and two dogs.

    Dr. Jennifer TamblynAs an internal medicine physician, Dr. Jennifer Tamblyn is specially trained to diagnose and treat adult diseases. She provides primary care for both men and women, is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a special interest in women's health, cardiovascular disease and rheumatology.

    Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Colorado at Denver, where she also completed a Master of Science in Public Health degree. She completed her residency at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver.

    Dr. Tamblyn has served as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Colorado, and has a passion for teaching medical students. She has also served as assistant program director for the university's internal medicine residency program. She has won several awards for excellence in medical education, professionalism, and serving as a role model for practicing compassionate patient care.

    She enjoys mountain and road biking, hiking, alpine skiing and traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
